Carrot Chutney

Ingredients :- Carrot   2 Big Onion   1 Garlic    2 pods Ginger 1-2cm Urad dal or kadalai paruppu    1/2 tblsp Dried chilli   3 Tamarind   a small  Salt   to taste Peanut roasted  2 tbs Olive Oil   2 tsp Mustard seeds    1/4 tsp Curry leaves    few Method :- 1. In a pan , add  oil and fried urad dal or channa dal or kadalai paruppu. keep aside. 2. In the same pan fried onion, garlic and ginger. set aside. 3. Continue with dried chillies carrots and some curry leaves. keep aside. 4. Add fried urad dal, onion,garlic, ginger, dried chillies, carrots and curry leaves in a blender. 5. Dont forget to add roasted peanuts, salt and tamarind and blend together till fine paste. 6. Sprinkle with fried mustard seeds and curry leaves. 7. Now Carrot Chutney ready to serve with Idli or thosai....yum yum yummy.... " Anyone Can Cook "

Strawberry Lassi

Ingredients: For Strawberry  Lassi: 1 cup    -  Curd/ Yogurt 1 cup    - Strawberry  puree (blended strawberries) 2/3pcs - Cardamom powder (crused -dont add skins) 3-4 tbs  - Castor Sugar   50ml      - Milk  3-4pcs   - Ice cubes Top of the Lassi: Sliced strawberries Middle Of the Lassi: Mango Puree Method: 1.    In a blender add all Lassi ingredients and blend it till all ingredients mix well. 2. Now pour blended lassi in the glasses. 3. On the top of lassi add some sliced strawberries.. " Anyone Can Cook "

Apple Cake

Ingredients :- 180gm  salted butter  2 tsp grated lemon rind 120gm  3 eggs 1 1/2 cup plain flour 1 tsp baking powder  1/3 cup milk 2 medium apples 2 tbsps apricot jam, warmed Method:- 1. Grease 20 cm spring form tin or deep 20 cm round cake pan, cover base with paper, grease paper. 2.Beat butter, rind and sugar in small bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, beat until combined. Transfer mixture to large bowl, stir in sifted flours and milk, spread into prepared pan. 3. Peel, quarter and core apples. Make length ways cuts into rounded sides of apple quarters, cutting about three-quarters of the way through. Place quarters, rounded side up, around edge of cake. Bake cake in moderate oven about 1 hour or until browned. Stand 5 minutes before turning onto wire rack. 4 Brush jam mixture over top of hot cake, cool before cutting.
