Butter Chicken


Ingredients: -

To Marinate:

Chicken breast-300 grams
Chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder- 1/4 tsp
Turmeric- 1/8 tsp
Salt- 1/2 tsp
Marinate and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes.

For the gravy:

Onion- 1 medium
Garlic- 3 cloves
Ginger- 1 small piece
Chili powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Turmeric- 1/8 tsp
Cashew Nuts- 5 -10 (can replace with almonds)
Tomato puree- 1 cup
Fresh Cream- 1/4 cup
Garam Masala powder- 1/8 tsp
Fresh Coriander chopped- 1 tbsp
Oil- 2 tbsp
Butter- 2 tsp


Method: -


1. Heat oil in a pan and  fry the marinated chicken pieces for 2 minutes on both sides. Drain and keep aside.
2.Puree the onion, ginger and garlic without adding water.
3.Add chilli, coriander and turmeric powder and saute until the raw smell goes off.
4.Add tomato puree and 1 cup of water. Let it boil. Add salt to taste.
5.Add in the chicken pieces , cover and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
6.Puree the cashew nuts with some water and pour over the chicken. Mix to combine.
The curry will begin to thicken.
7.Add more water if required. Check for salt.
8.Switch off the flame and add in the fresh cream, garam masala powder and chopped coriander.
Stir and add in the butter. 
9.Serve along with your favourite naan or roti.
